Leicester Rape Crisis has been providing support for women in Leicester and County for over 30 years.  We are a busy office and last year alone we received one thousand, eight hundred calls to our helpline received 255 referrals and delivered 2231 sessions of support to 188 women and young girls.

We have a team of 26 volunteers who undertake most of this work, with two part time administrators.  In addition we have a young persons’ worker and an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor.  We offer counselling and support from our base in Leicester, but also offer outreach counselling in the County

We are also a campaigning organisation, raising awareness of sexual violence, delivering an education programme through our Stay Safe campaign and challenging the unacceptable fact that sexual violence is still so prevalent in our society today.
