Leicester Rape Crisis are holding a Conference #NoMoreMeToo. This will have Key note speaker Sammy Woodhouse. http://sammywoodhouse.com Supt Simon Cure from the Delivering Justice Department of 
Leicestershire Police, there will be talks from our very own Young persons worker, Marcia on stay safe and prevention. Laura Cameron and Kathleen Connell will be talking about their own prevention and behaviour management work. The panel will be discussing about ammending the Law

The Womans Quilt will be there, which is an amazing sight to see. The Women’s Quilt was made to commemorate the 598 women killed by their current/former partner between 2009 and 2015, according to the data from the Femicide Consensus (Women’s Aid, 2017). This quilt was founded by Roxanne Ellis who started off this project with a Facebook group. She added a few friends who added a few friends and it soon gained interested.

As 2017 has now ended, we would like to give massive thanks once more for all of the DONATIONS given to us.  Some have been raised by people who have faced their fears, some by people who have pushed themselves physically, some have been doing things for the first time, other having been repeating past efforts. We want to say a massive thank you to www.rosauk.org for their large woman to woman funding.  We also extend thanks to The Big Lottery, reaching communities grant, which has given us the funds to run the charity for a further 4 years.

Pizza, Poems and Pudding evening

 

Saturday 11 November at 7.30pm

Stoneygate Baptist Church, London Road

 

Come along, enjoy freshly baked pizza, read a poem (or just listen), bring and share puddings and have a good time!

 

You can write a poem or read a favourite from a book

 

You can make a pudding or buy one from a shop

 

No need to bring pizza – lots of different flavours will be provided

 

 

In November at SBC

There’s lots of stuff for you and me

Pizzas, poems and puddings for all

Maybe in the church, perhaps in the hall

Write your own poem, or bring one from the bard

Better than this? Well it shouldn’t be hard!

 

Entrance by donation. £5 is suggested but feel free to pay more if you wish!
