Leicester Rape Crisis has been providing support for women in Leicester and County for over 30 years.

We are a busy office and last year alone we received one thousand, eight hundred calls to our helpline, received 255 referrals and delivered 2231 sessions of support to 188 women and young girls.

We have a team of volunteer counsellors who undertake most of this work, supported by a staff team of 4, covering the roles of CEO, Centre co-ordinator, young persons worker and clinical lead. We offer counselling and support from our base in Leicester, and may be able to offer outreach support as and when the funding allows.

We are also an organisation who raises awareness of sexual violence, campaigns for better treatment of victims and advocates for the needs of survivors. We are also looking into continuing our work around preventative education for young people and a sexual violence awareness package for professionals (funding dependant).

Previous projects include the Stay Safe campaign and the S.H.U.S.H (Speaking Honestly to Understand Sexual Harassment), working in schools and youth groups to educate and challenge issues around sexual harassment and sexual violence.

We are seeking to recruit the following posts to enable us to realise our vision:
